Go Tiny Titans!

Parker giving coach Jake a high five after his first goal.  I love that smile!

There is a reason I didn't post pics from last week's game.  That's because there were no action shots of Parker.  In his words, he was scared because he didn't want people cheering for him.  After talking through his fear, praying, and practicing, he was a new kid this week!  He loves soccer!  It's so much fun to watch him play.  We are so proud of Parker for overcoming his fear and trying his best!  He scored 3 goals!  Go Tiny Titans!

Birthday Boy

It's really true.  Griffin is one today.  I can hardly believe it!  His one year milestones include:  saying Mama, Dada, hi, and "uh" for uh-oh, he has 10 teeth, standing alone, signing please, he loves to dance with Parker, and is still into everything (he had is first visit to Dr. Pope yesterday).  He smiles all the time and is full of joy.  He is an amazing sleeper and eater (an answer to our many prayers).  We praise God for you Griffin!  You are such a blessing to us!

DIYer

I'm a new DIYer (aka Do It Yourself (er)).  I got introduced to some sweet blogs by my friend Mandy, and ever since, I have had projects galore.  It is so rewarding to turn something that you wouldn't typically use into a fun piece.  Here are my latest projects:

I found most of these license plates at a antique store in Winterpark, Colorado.  Parker had a huge blank wall...until now.  I used what I call cowboy wire (my father-in-law Russ is a cowboy and I got it from his barn, hence the name cowboy wire) to link the plates together so that I wouldn't have 60 holes in the wall.  I'm not done with it yet, but this is what it looks like for now.
And here is the super fun bench from Grammy Jai.  I don't have a before picture, but it was sage green.  I liked the green, but it didn't work with my front door.  I spray painted it and distressed it.   I put it outside my front door and I think it's super fun.  I have  great plans changing out the pillows with each season.

So there it is...my DIY projects.  I have soooo many more on the list, like a chandelier, wall hangers, and picture frames.

Spaghetti Man

Is there anything G doesn't like?  Got to love a kid that's not picky!

What a Mess!

This is what Griffin looked like after eating a sucker in the car.  Patrick and I spent a few days in Frisco while Parker and Griffin went to Nonna & Pop's house.  Everyone had a great time, we just spent a lot of time in the car.  G man was tired of it, so I let him have a sucker to buy some more time.  When I opened his door to get him out, this is what I found.  He loved every minute of it!

Tiny Titans

Parker had his first soccer practice tonight.  He wanted to wear his "chin" guards and cleats all day.  Practice was super hot, but it didn't seem to phase the kids.  This is what we will be doing on Tuesdays and Saturdays until November.  Go Tiny Titans!

P & G

I adore these two little guys.  They are so much fun!  I've been attempting to get pictures of the two of them together.  It's so hard!  This morning I went with my friend Mandy to the park so that we could take pictures of our kids.  We loaded up my bench (that I recently refinished) & the kids, and headed for the park.  I know we looked like a 3 Ring Circus out there with 5 kids, 2 moms, & a bench, but the pics were worth it!  The other pictures are from the boys playing in the yard last night.  Griffin absolutely loves to ride in the Gator with Parker!

11 Months

I can hardly believe it, but Griffin will be 1 at the end of the month.  He is loads of fun (literally, 25 + lbs.)  He smiles all the time and now enjoys trying to make people laugh.  He says Hi, Mama, & Dada, he has 8 teeth (yes, 8), and is into EVERYTHING.  We have nicknamed him "search and destroy", because that seems to be his motive.
