Colorado

We just got back today from Winter Park.  We went with the Ogles and had so much fun!  A few highlights from the trip....Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake, Estes Park, Denver, and our favorite, the Alpine slide at Winter Park.

Griffin's first swim

We went to Gigi and Papa Russ's house tonight and enjoyed swimming in their pool.  Griffin wasn't too sure about the water at first, but then he LOVED it!  He loved splashing!  We're so glad that the water is warm enough to go swimming.  It makes Arkansas summers much more bearable!

Paper Towel Kite

On a super windy day, Parker decided to try flying a roll of paper towels off of our deck.  At one point, it was half the length of our house.  It was fun to watch and pretty creative!

Lost Valley

Today we went hiking at Lost Valley by the Buffalo River.  We LOVE this hike.  It's shaded, perfect for kids, has a wonderful waterfall, several caves, and it's beautiful!  The Miller's, King's, their friends Trigg, Roxanne, & Jayden, & Grammy Jai, Abe, & Luke all went.  Parker really loves doing anything outside!  We all had so much fun!

9 Months

Griffin turned 9 months old yesterday.  We went to his 9 month check up and found out that is growth has slowed down a bit....he's in the 95% for weight and height.  He has 7 teeth.  He has a fun new game of spitting out his pacifier on command, he waves hi and bye, and is trying his hardest to crawl.  He gets on all fours, but doesn't make it very far.  He is definitely developing his own personality!  He laughs and smiles all the time.  He is such a joy to be around (and such a great baby).

Ready For Summer!

We've been loving this warm weather!  We've been spending as much time as possible riding bikes, going to parks, feeding ducks, and playing in the sprinkler.  Here are some pics from our Monday afternoon.

Golfing

We went to DQ this weekend to visit my family.  Patrick, my dad, and Parker played golf on Saturday.  It was Parker's first time to play on a golf course.  I think it was Patrick's most proud moment so far.  Parker is a lefty, so we got him so we got him some lefty clubs for his birthday last year.  They are still a bit heavy for him, but he does really well!  His favorite thing was to hit the golfballs in the water.

Caught in the act!

Jack spent the day at our house on Friday. He and Parker always have so much fun! They were playing in the sandbox on the deck. At least, I thought they were. When I went outside, this is what I found....

2 Fast 4 U

My mom got Parker a "2 Fast 4 U" tag for his bike. It has been the joke around the house because until last week, Parker would ride his bike at snail's pace. All of a sudden, he has a new found love for riding his bike and is really good at it!

8 Months

Griffin is now 8 months old and the heavy weight champion of the world. He weighs 24 lbs, is wearing size 12-18 months, and is HUGE. He is now clapping, saying "dada" and "mama", has 5 teeth, and is working on waving. He is so sweet and cuddly. I'm just ready for him to crawl so that my back can have a break!

Easter...finally

We actually started our celebration on good Friday. We went to the Grove and had communion. We spent time in the bible reading scripture with Parker, explaining Jesus's Resurrection. We had a wonderfully wet Easter, thanks to the rain. Patrick woke up early and made some tasty coconut toast and of course there were easter baskets. We went to church and worshiped together as a family (kids were in the service). We then had the McGoodens, Leah & Matt, & Carrie Henry over for our traditional Easter lunch. No easter is complete without an egg hunt, which occurred sometime after the rain.

Chocolate Blue

I just wanted to give props to my friend Emily who has just gone global with her talent. She will be in the boutique show with me and her stuff is super fun! Please check her out!

7 Months

It's going by so fast! Griffin is 7 months. He has many new tricks (like the one in the picture). He babbles all the time. He has a contagious laugh. He thinks Parker is the funniest thing in the world. He is finally turning over...his weight has inhibited him for a while. He loves to play with toys. He loves to eat Mum Mums. Did I mention he likes to eat? We love our G man and have so much fun with him!

"Fafari"

We went to the drive through "fafari" (aka safari) on Saturday for Jack's birthday. As always, fun was had by all.

Fun in DQ

The boys and I have enjoyed our time with my family in DeQueen. Parker has loved playing with Oaklee and I have enjoyed some much needed down time. Patrick drove down today to join us. We've been enjoying yummy food and great company. This is a pic of my parents with P & G and my nieces Oaklee and Olivia.

Future Model?

Maybe not. I was trying to capture Avery's fun Razorback collar in the picture with the hog canvas. She's cute, but too uncomfortable for modeling.

Body Art?

I'm really a tidy person. I enjoy things being neat and tidy. However, when it comes to painting, this is NOT the case. I can't figure it out, but I'm a mess when I paint (and so is the area in which I'm painting). I've been painting a lot lately to get ready for the boutique show. I have a certain technique that I use when I paint and I always get the excess paint off on my arm. It produces the perfect amount of paint on the brush. I know it's weird. This is how my arm looked tonight after painting. Now I'm off to go clean up and scrub my arm...
