Parker's Big Day
Today I took Parker to Mother's Day Out. I had prepared him (and myself) for this. This morning we prayed for a good day at school (that Parker would be obedient, have fun, that God would protect him). I kept telling him about his school and that he would have two teachers. He was so excited this morning when he saw his lunch box and nap mat. He brought them to me and said, "I ready Mommy." I had not prepared myself for him being ready. We picked up Drew Bear and Kelli and we all went together. Yes, Drew Bear and Parker are in the same class. Their poor, poor teachers. We took them to the classroom....all was well. I kissed him goodbye and he didn't care that I was leaving. God knew exactly what I needed!

I love that picture! I bet you had a great day-getting lots done- and feel refreshed when you pick him up.

Well, I have been so mad at myself for not giving you all a call or coming by. (Even though we havn't been home for long) And then, I check out your blog and it looks as if Parker is heading off to 7th grade. I guess that is what I get Just kidding, but he does look so big! I can't believe he is going to school. I can't wait to hear all about it!!
Yea, Parker! And Yea, Mommy & Daddy! Thank you, Daddy, for letting Mommy have a day to try to run errands, go to lunch, or take a nap if she needs to. You know Gigi Vicki thinks Parker is perfect, but he does 'wear a body out'! He looked adorable his first day & I'm glad it went so well.
